Service Support Associate

 

JOB SUMMARY: Assists within multiple Service departments to include call intake, parts picking, stocking and shipping. Delivery of ASAP parts or toner. Assists with equipment delivery when needed, including loading, transporting, delivering, installing, and removing equipment from customer site. Assists with setups and device reconditioning and performs miscellaneous warehouse duties as assigned.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Takes incoming Service call requests from customers, creates service call and works to resolve issue if applicable.
  • Works in Parts department to assist with incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Works in Parts department to pick parts for service technician inventories.
  • Works in warehouses to reclaim parts from identified devices.
  • Delivers ASAP toner and parts to customers and fellow employees.
  • Reconditions equipment per printed or electronic form to include firmware updates and removal of existing data.
  • Assists with delivery of MBM equipment.
  • Assists in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
  • Helps maintain, clean, and organize work areas. 
  • MINIMUM / BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  •  
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record as well as proof of insurability (required).
  • Qualified candidates will be required to pass a drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report. 
  • PREFERRED/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  •  
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as maps, as well as delivery and installation instructions/procedures. Ability to write simple correspondence such as e-mail. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate to customers in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to recognize and deal with problems in a manner that is acceptable to our customers as well as our business model.

  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, and use hands and fingers to touch and move equipment. Must be able to reach with hands. The employee is often required to stand, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to move equipment weighing up to 900 pounds. Movement includes pushing and pulling. The employee may also be required to lift approximately 100 pounds in handling and transporting items.
