POSITION OVERVIEW: This is an exciting opportunity at our Akron Innovation and Distribution Center. The Certified Pre owned Technician is responsible for assessing, troubleshooting, and repairing Xerox equipment to not only meet quality standards, but exceed customer expectations. Expand your skills and knowledge by working with an experienced team of technicians with a combined 200+ year's industry experience!



  • Assesses, troubleshoots, cleans and repairs all used equipment to acceptable quality assurance standards.
  • Performs all necessary administrative functions to include ERP transactions and fills out all applicable documents to support the refurbishment process.
  • Runs all system reports required to maintain accurate parts custody
  • Orders, replenishes and accurately maintains all parts and supplies needed to perform refurbishment.
  • Attends and successfully completes assigned technical training.
  • Utilize a Portable Work Station to web in and program equipment, change settings, and apply the latest firmware.
  • Assist the development of incoming Field Service Technicians as a certified trainer in our CPO University A hands on training experience that develops the foundation for their successful career in ComDoc Field Service.
  • Participates in our innovation program by submitting innovative ideas to better our processes and help us remain a "Great Place to Work and a Great Place to be a Customer"
  • Assist with other needs and initiatives around the Innovation & Distribution Center


QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual who has great written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will need to interpret documents, carry out instructions, solve problems that may involve variables, and have an understanding of basic math principles. This position may require the individual to stand and walk around often while moving equipment and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associates in Electronics or Technical Certification preferred. Technical experience is a plus.
