General Description:

 

Provides proactive leadership to a sales team to achieve maximum profitability and productivity in line with company vision and value.  The Sales Director will be responsible for driving effective sales activity, market penetration, new business and sales goals.  

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Responsible for the performance and development of the Account Executives
  • Develop a business plan that includes goals, objectives and strategies that ensure budget attainment of sales goals, margins and direct selling expenses to meet profit goals
  • Prepare daily/weekly action plans by individuals as well as by team to insure focused activity
  • Conduct one-on-one reviews with all Account Executives to build more effective communication and provide insight to each individual development and need for improvement
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding individual Account Executive activities/ performance and sales forecasts
  • Control expenses
  • Assist Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensures that the policies are communicated and implemented
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED)

 

  • Valid driver's license and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage required
  • Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Possess the ability to interpret, comprehend and apply complex material and instruction prepare, provide and convey diversified information
  • High integrity and displays business acumen
  • Personal drive and internal motivation toward high achievement
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment at all organizational levels

Education and/or Experience

 

  • College Degree required
  • Previous Sales Management experience is a must
