Primary Objectives/Scope:   Works in Parts department with the primary goal of supporting MOS technical staff by providing the necessary parts and supplies to complete an efficient repair or support a customer service call. Utilizing all tools and procedures, communicate to appropriate departments and management any situation or condition that would prevent you from meeting our customer service goal.  

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILIES:

  • Routinely demonstrates and creates a helpful and positive work culture
  • Encourages and builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with all co-workers, outside customers and vendors
  • Conducts self at all times as the public image of the company in accordance with MOS's Code of Conduct
  • Reviews daily parts usage reports to accurately and promptly replenish individual technicians' parts levels 
  • Maintains an effective "Parts Inventory" by adhering to established Global standards
  • Efficiently handles "walk up" and "call in" orders and refills daily pick-up bins
  • Maintains a safe, neat and organized work area; will be required to sweep the floor and keep hands clean at all time
  • Must display a high standard of accuracy when performing data entry tasks
  • Properly package parts for shipment to technicians; collects and promptly ships back to vendors warranted and other parts eligible for return credits
  • Inventory incoming parts orders for accuracy; document any shortages and back-orders and notifies vendors on all discrepancies and damage issues
  • Properly labels all parts and re-stock bins; accurately establishes new Parts Bin locations and updates location information on database
  • Attaches and files duplicated packing slips to purchase orders and forwards originals to Accounts Payable on a daily basis
  • Updates Parts Hold status within the Dispatch system using established letter codes
  • Properly records as inventory transactions all parts entries and withdrawals within the database
  • Provides ETA to technicians for any "out-of-norm" restocks or rush order requests

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; experience working within an ever-changing environment related to duties and demands
  • General organizational skills with good experience working with Microsoft -- Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Willingly follow direction and instructions from management
  • Strong attention to detail by doing it right the first time; ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with a willingness to work well with others on a regular basis  
  • Daily attendance is very important due to the critical nature of this support role.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism within the company and with outside vendor interactions

Physical demands:        Standing, hearing, sitting, walking, speaking, bending; must regularly life and/or move up to 25 pounds; specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to focus on details and component quality, while working in a Warehouse environment with frequent interruptions
