Description

Primary Objective/Scope:  Process all Michigan Office Solutions' Accounts Payable invoices accurately and promptly. 

Specific Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Routinely demonstrates and creates a helpful and positive work culture

Encourages and builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with all co-workers, outside customers and vendors

         Conducts self at all times as the public image of the company in accordance with MOS' Code of Conduct

         Extremely detail-oriented with a good working knowledge of Accounts Payable and standard chart of accounts

         Familiar with automated Accounts Payable (e-automate ERP experience preferred)

         Processes all invoices company-wide for Michigan Office Solutions

         Prints and processes checks for weekly distribution

         Inputs invoices/credit memos in order to maximize vendor discounts

         Handles all incoming vendor and intercompany inquiries for MOS and/or requests concerning A/P

         Files and maintains open PO/RCVR files for MOS

         Manage automated workflow system for A/P process

         Stores A/R credit memos to enable quick retrieval if needed

         Assists with month-end and year-end A/P accruals as well as intercompany journal entries

         Reconciles vendor invoices and statements

         Retains paid/open invoices and cancelled check files

         Sets up and maintains vendor numbers on system

         Assists with W-9 Reporting and other tax requests

         Maintains Insurance Certificate records

Required Skills:

         Bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred or an associate's degree with three to five years of experience working within a general office environment; within an Accounts Payable environment preferred  

         Strong oral and written communication skills

         Ability to multi-task and prioritize concurrent tasks with minimal direction

         Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of management, internally and with outside vendors

         Excellent organizational, time-management and customer service skills

         Professional appearance and demonstrates a positive "can do" attitude

         Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
