GDP Technologies, a Xerox Company is seeking experienced Field Service Technician for the Metro Atlanta area.

The Field Service Technician is one of the highest profile positions in our company because of the direct contact with our client base. This position is responsible for the timely and cost effective maintenance and repair of office product equipment and for promoting and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with our service and products, thereby influencing the sales of our Xerox Branded and other office product equipment.

  • Performs full range of on-site maintenance and repair on assigned office products to include technical diagnostics, break/fix, installation, removal or customer training.
  • Maintains and manages tool kit, supplies, and accurate parts inventory for assigned territory.
  • Properly uses resources and documentation on every call including: service manuals, part books, websites and other service literature.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and complete all electrical troubleshooting as outlined in the Technical Service Manual and Field Engineering Bulletins.
  • Completes all required administrative functions in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provides customers with clear, concise information regarding the status of their equipment.
  • Follows proper escalation procedures when necessary to meet customer demands or for reoccurring issues.
  • Responsible for continued development of skills through formal training, self-study, and on-the-job training.
  • Provides sales support as required (i.e. advising sales on problems accounts, service leads).


  • Strong Customer Service and Communication skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Prior experience in maintenance and repair of copier/office equipment preferred. Xerox, HP and Canon experience a plus.
  • Great problem solving skills with the ability to work independently to resolve issues
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening
  • PC/ Network troubleshooting experience
  • Comp TIA A+, Network +
  • Dependable and self-motivated
  • Stable work history
  • A desire to learn and be challenged
  • Must have Reliable vehicle for job use (mileage is reimbursed)
  • Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • High school diploma or better
  • Be able to lift over 50 LBS
  • Drug test and background check required
