Description

The Driver provides delivery support to the location and assists with the set up and installation of machines as required. Will be responsible for performing the following duties as needed including: unboxing of equipment and for delivery loads, transports, delivers, installs, and removes equipment as business needs demand.

KEY DUTIES:

Warehouse and Delivery

         Conducts a daily delivery truck maintenance check for operation and safety.

         Reviews and verifies order information and on paperwork and pulls and assigns inventory to complete the order.

         Unboxes equipment as needed and stages equipment for shop setup prior to delivery

         Checks paperwork on top of all machines to be loaded, verifies model number, serial number, and all serialized and non- serialized                      equipment is correct

         Prepares equipment for delivery including shrink wrapping equipment, copies placed on top of machines any manuals, CD's are included

         Loads and secures all equipment on to truck using protective foam, blankets, cardboard corners, and proper strapping to ensure no                      damage to equipment.  

         Confirms delivery, pickup and/or movement with customer prior to delivery. Verify address.  Records any special instructions or directions.

         Drives truck to deliver equipment and products to customer's location.

         Locates customer contact and notifies customer of arrival time.

         Assist help desk with remote installation by adding I.P addresses, Sub-net and Gateway addresses in copiers/printers.

Equipment Install at delivery:

         Unloads and safely take equipment to designated area.  This may include pushing, pulling utilizing dollies and/or stair climbers.

         Be aware of any carpets, flooring, tight corners, marks or damage on the customer facility and communicate to the customer ahead of                time.

         Assembles equipment.

         Powers up unit and runs test copies.

         Provides customer with startup equipment training.

         Obtains customer signature and date.

         Contacts appropriate sales representative and CSR.

         Equipment De-install:

o   Verifies and records model number, serial number, serialized accessories and "end meter reads".

o   Marks manuals/CD and consumables with yes or no.

o   Removes equipment from customer's facility and loads and secures equipment on truck as

o   detailed above.

o   Obtains customer signature and date.

o   Contacts appropriate sales representative.

         Organizes and completes all required paperwork per delivery and turns in to Office Coordinator.

         Unloads and tags all returned items in organized fashion in branch warehouse.

         Maintains control of equipment and supplies inventory at branch location

         Occasionally drives to other branch locations to pick up and deliver equipment.

         Set Up & Assembly (if required )

         Gathers parts, sub-assemblies, tools and materials based on equipment specifications and requirements.

         Learns the warehouse locations for set-up equipment and accessories.

         Completes all required paperwork for the assigned equipment set-ups on a daily basis.

         Reviews the hardware and software release levels for each model being set-up.  Confirm and upgrade release levels when necessary.

         Assists with cleaning the service and warehouse area in order to maintain a professional and organized environment.

         Prepares machines for shipment.

         Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

         High School diploma or equivalent is required.  

         Technical certification preferred

         Experience in the office products or similar industry a plus.

Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

         Strong customer service and communication skills.

         Strong attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills
