This description is for the Systems Engineer. This individual will be responsible for all IT systems and timely support of end users. She/He will work closely with the Director of IT and company leadership to ensure that information technology resources are aligned with company objectives. The position is based at Xerox Business Solutions headquarters (HQ) in Tampa, Florida and reports to the Sr. Director of Information Technology.

This position requires a strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure.


  • Provides organized project management for enterprise and core business initiatives involving team member, core office IT staff, and partners.
  • Provide Level 3 support for business critical applications
  • Perform duties related to integration of systems
  • Uses architectural level knowledge across various software and hardware platforms to advise and implement business solutions
  • Maintain and grow the cloud infrastructure
  • Implements and maintains effective backup systems to ensure the integrity of all business-critical data and functionality.
  • Maintain, monitor, analyze system components to offer recommendations on system security, network, and computer utilization
  • Propose and install new software releases, system upgrades and security patches
  • Gather, analyze and correct performance related issues
  • Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation and inventory assessment
  • Be responsible for managing systems to meet department and company strategic goals
  • Assist in Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Planning
  • Work productively with the local IT Department as well as field offices across the US

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of IT experience in systems engineering showing career advancement
  • The ability to partner successfully with team members in various locations.
  • Strong mentoring and training ability for Jr team members
  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Up to 20% overnight travel.
  • Deep understanding of XBS cultural and managerial structure and possessing necessary savvy to navigate
  • Assumes end to end responsibility of business projects/initiatives regardless of technology system/Partner
  • Experience in working with large enterprise environments in multiple geographic locations
  • Experience in distribution and/or service industry preferred.
  • Up to date certifications in on or more of the following technologies Microsoft Azure, AWS or demonstrated proficiency
  • Knowledge of SOX and PCI compliance obligations.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
  • Understanding of ADFS in an enterprise environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Integrations
  • History of successful on premise to cloud migration projects
  • Experience in L3 level support and triage.
