POSITION OVERVIEW: The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and is responsible for overseeing Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Leasing, and all other Accounting functions. This position will interact with all departments in the organization while also developing and mentoring employees in finance roles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Directly supervises Accounting, AR, AP, Cash Application and Leasing employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; conducting monthly plan and reviews; completing annual appraisals; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University. Minimum 10-12 years of related experience with progressively more responsibility. MBA or CPA preferred.
Must have advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and other office products. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management.
