This role provides Help Desk phone, remote, and onsite support on Xerox devices and Solutions Software, Remote Xerox device network and solutions installations and implementation or when needed onsite. Provide network & solutions software technical support to new and existing accounts with connected products.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and expertise:

Internal & External Customer Focus

  • Possess a positive attitude and the ability to learn and adjust to solution and technological advancements and changes
  • Interface with the CBS Sales, Solutions, and Service teams providing continuous status updates
  • Provides post-sales technical support for existing CBS customers
  • Attends period team meetings and effectively collaborates
  • Participates in the Site Survey policy for the designated area
  • Provides timely billable network services when customer agreement does not cover such services

Technical Competency

  • Provides support for installation of:
    • Connected MFPs on the network (Black-and-white, Color) including advanced DFE's
    • Scanning options, configuration, and customer training
    • Printer driver installation and configurations on Print Servers and/or workstations
    • Solutions installation, implementation, configurations, and support
    • Administrative software tools, configuration, and training
  • Delivers technical services based on a Statement of Work (SOW) that captures specific customer requirements, professional services, and technical specifications.
  • Utilizes the remote support tools including Go to Assist and Live Chat
  • Escalates technical issues to the appropriate technical personnel or vendor support

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3- 5 years of field or corporate experience preferably technical and/or network printing support
  • MCSE (preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • Completion of NET+ certification program
  • Experience accessing technical information from Vendors internet databases

Desired Competencies and Experience

  • Specific knowledge of network printing & scanning applications including color and storage
  • In depth knowledge of widely used network & workstation operating systems, including networking interface standards: Microsoft platform, Novell, Unix, AS/400 and MAC
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information (verbal & written) in English
  • Knowledge of LAN and WAN architectures, data base and data communications software

Educational Requirements for the Position:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent a minimum, Associates Degree preferred
  • Software vendor certifications a plus

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions for the Position: (Visual, mental, physical, etc. that relate to the essential functions.)

  • Must be able to travel to and work at customer sites and for off site meetings.
  • Must be able to deal with upset Customers in a high stress environment and resolve their issues/concerns to their satisfaction
  • Must be able to adapt to changing per-call requirements necessary to provide EACH customer with the level of service the have come to expect from CBS
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in an office environment
