Managed Information Technology Services (MITS)- Sales Executive


Duties and Essential Job Functions:

  • In a consultative approach, apply an in-depth understanding of GDP MITS programs, services, and sales methodology to grow market share
  • Maintain appropriate sales activities to drive new business and maintain existing relationships
  • Document all sales and client activity in company CRM
  • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of how MITS creates value for clients both potential and current
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of technology services and trends
  • Understand competitive products, services, and strategies then communicate why GDP's services are better
  • Effectively communicate value proposition to a variety of audiences, from IT professionals to business owners and C-level executives 
  • Local travel to onsite businesses

  • 3-5 years of experience in the Managed IT Services, or IT Services industry
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Sales/business development experience, with a record of meeting and exceeding quota
  • High level of financial acumen, in order to have "business discussions with business people"
  • Strong communication, presentation, listening skills adaptable to any audience
  • Ability to effectively deliver difficult messages while emphasizing positive, future-oriented perspectives.
  • Technical aptitude, with the ability to appropriately apply technical service base to individual customer needs
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to work well both independently and as proactive team member
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple sales activities
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional planning, organization and time management skills; self-starter
