TheNetwork Support Engineer is a part of the Client Support team that is responsible for resolving the bulk of technical support issues for our clients and providing best practice solutions. This position will require strong understanding of physical and virtual infrastructure designs with an emphasis on route/switch troubleshooting and maintaining security best practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in documenting troubleshooting efforts, knowledge transfers and client communications. Additionally, you will provide support for the gambit of Cisco, VMWare, advanced network troubleshooting and other popular technologies implemented by today's businesses. We are seeking someone with a strong technical acumen, and exceptional customer service skills, who is capable of providing clients confidence in the troubleshooting process. A willingness to work both technical problems as well as MACD's is a must.

Have a client-centric and positive attitude towards client issues

Respond to clients in a timely manner via phone & other communication methods

Act as the second level support for client issues via phone calls (queue), email, or live chat

Quickly identify if an escalation is needed beyond your skill set with appropriate hand off

Track time in Lewan's ticketing and time tracking system(s)

Document issue resolution/troubleshooting steps and final resolutions in Lewan's ticketing system

Develop professional relationships with our partners and understand their escalation procedures

Maintain knowledge of all proprietary tools and systems to ensure proper handling of client issues

Complete software upgrades

Perform monitoring and basic server administration and restarting of services

Document work to submit for new knowledge base articles

Work on internal projects and development as needed

Assist in proactive audit exercises & other tasks as assigned

Must deliver an exceptional client experience every day

Travel to customer sites, to provide on-site support for their IT environment as needed

High School Diploma or equivalent

5 + years of experience in a related field

Knowledge of Internet and networking technologies

Exposure to scripting and command line interface

Knowledge of virtual environments such as VMware

Firewall/VPN/Route/Switch administration and troubleshooting

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail

Strong interpersonal and organizational/prioritization skills

A strong troubleshooting methodology

Excellent client service focus

Ability to work independently or as a team to approach problems creatively and resolve them in an effective and timely manner

Entrepreneurial attitude: self-motivated, self-directed

Flexibility: task assignment, priorities, work environment

Ability to work a 40 hours per week on a flex schedule (weekend coverage every other week) and overtime if needed and approved

Ability to travel to customer sites using your personal vehicle

Ability to maintain a clean driving record and proper motor vehicle insurance

Take part in night/weekend consult rotations in support of team members
