SUMMARY: 
Responsible for all shop set-up, ensuring all models and brands of copiers are accurately set-up and ready for delivery by a set time.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:
 

  • Assemble various types, models and different brands of copiers and printers.
  • Receives specific duties from Inventory Control for the assembly of various models and different brands of copiers, pre-installation, and Quality Assurance of delivery ready equipment, ensuring that descriptions and serial numbers assigned, match with the Sales representative sales order request.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, educating self on the Material Safety Data Sheets on environmental hazardous materials in the work place and maintaining a current up-to-date listing of all MSDS pertaining to the Set-up work area.
  • Works closely with the Inventory Control when equipment has been set-up and is ready for the I.T. personnel's remote install process.
  • Attention to detail, knowledge of the equipment requests and correct configuration.
  • Pre-installation of new equipment consists of removing packing materials from equipment being assembled and installing accessories as indicated on the configuration sheet.
  • All set-up equipment must be tested for performance and copy quality and ensuring that all manuals/CD's are included.
  • A copy of the original Sales order (File/customer) must accompany all equipment being delivered.
  • Deliver and install office equipment at branch locations. Requires the lifting and transporting of office equipment
  • Delivers office equipment to branch locations weekly
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Experience working with others and specific training needs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Networking preferred.
  • Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to use hand tools in the performance of his/her job.
  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and occasionally lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Possess the ability to speak, hear and see.
  • Clean driving record, ability to drive a 16'box truck

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years minimum technical (mechanical and/or electronics) training or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of equipment requests and correct configurations.
  • Service technician experience in the Digital Copier industry.
  • High School diploma or GED.
