Description: | Boise Office Equipment is a locally recognized, wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox based in Boise, Idaho who enjoys the strength of being a nationally recognized company yet the flexibility of having locally based decision making to meet the needs of the ever-changing marketplace. We are currently looking to add an IT Help Desk Representative to assist our Sales Representatives in pre-sales conversations and demonstrations regarding printing and scanning solutions; install and provide on-going technical support for network printing and scanning solutions; work closely with the team members in Sales, Service and Administrative departments to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction with our network products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
-Perform initial installation and configuration of network printing and scanning equipment, to include installation of printer drivers, confirmation of ability to print from and scan to specified applications, and training on basic key operator functions and print driver interface.
-Provide technical support via phone and on-site service calls to resolve network printing issues which may arise following initial installation.
-Research and apply vendor software patches that improve functionality or address specific issues related to hardware and print driver operation.
-Perform pre-sale site evaluations to assess customer environment and make recommendations to Sales Representative.
-Provide technical support regarding both equipment and application capabilities for Sales team members.
-Escalate unresolved technical issues to Network Installation Coordinator for resolution.
-Ensure security of all company provided assets including tools, test equipment, laptop computers, documentation, software and inventory items.
-Accurately track and account for al inventory items issued by the Company.
-Obtain customer signatures for service calls performed well as when delivering items ordered by the customer.
-Provide technical support for internal network as requested by the Director of IS.
Qualified applicants should have experience and/or training related to computer repair and/or A+ or Net+ certification and display good communication skills, both written and verbally. Applicants will also be expected to have a valid Idaho drivers license, insurance and good driving history.
