| Our professional services team is actively recruiting to expand their engineering group. The Network Operations Engineer position we seek should be A+ Certified, and MCP, MCSE or equivalent certification with extensive Cisco routing and switching experience.
Responsible for assisting customers using remote monitoring and resolution tools. Analyzes and performs preventative maintenance and incident resolution on customer’s technical infrastructure.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors support requests and dispatches engineers as needed for Managed Services customers to ensure excellent customer service.
- Implements and maintains preventative maintenance processes and procedures for customers.
- Implements and maintains managed services performance reports.
- Works closely with customers to remotely resolve incidents or escalate as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Ability to demonstrate proper operation and functionality of all equipment and services to customers and visitors as required
EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Two / Four year college or Vocational Institute degree in computer science or related industry
EXPERIENCE
Required: Minimum five years experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing IT infrastructure (system administrator).
Minimum four years experience with workstation network connectivity, (workstation and server).
Experience troubleshooting, and diagnosing in Cisco routing/switching
Preferred: Five years experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing IT infrastructure in a networked environment (workstation and server), WAN and LAN.
Six years experience with workstation network connectivity, (workstation and server).
CERTIFICATIONS
Required: A+ Certification and MCP, MCSE or other equivalent
Preferred: Network +, CCNA, MCSE
WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Computers, Operating Systems, Knowledge of Applications, Diagnostic Utilities
- Peripherals (including but not limited to internal & External modems, sound cards, video cards, Network Interface cards, SCSI adapters, storage devices, memory, etc.)
- Network Administration, Operating Systems, Connectivity and Hardware
- OEM Warranty Procedures and appropriate resources (i.e. manuals, CD’s, Internet, etc.)
- Set up and configure network printing devices
- Portable architecture (i.e. laptops, PCMCIA devices)
- Server Consoles
BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF:
- WAN / LAN Topologies
- Network Design Tools / Resources
- Desktop Management
- Network Security
