We are seeking customer oriented and experienced Field Service Technicians to join our Houston team.Note: Statements included in this description are intended to reflect in general, the duties and responsibilities of this classification and are not to be interpreted as being all-inclusive.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Service office equipment in assigned local territory with minimal supervision in an efficient and timely manner. Identify and resolve technical issues. Install, replace, and repair copiers, printers, and faxes at customer site.Will be responsible for carrying tools and parts inventory in personal vehicle while maintaining proper inventory levels at all times.Customer Relations: Provide excellent customer service to Dahill prospects, customers, and/or vendors. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills; due to daily communication required with various departments to include upper management.Prioritize and respond to incoming service calls according to severity of issue, product, geography, and/or time of call. Responsible for ensuring service tickets are completed, indicating technical issue repair process. Maintain open communication with customer by communicating estimated problem resolution time.Advise customers of technical repair details regarding services rendered. May include conducting customer orientation of minor repairs.Additional Responsibilities:Completion of all service call documents. Responsible for submitting expense vouchers as well as customer service documents to service department on a daily basis. Read, correct, and maintain technical publications up to date.**Successful completion of online Xerox and Sharp product line training as well as on the job training will be required prior to be providing field technical support. Qualifications:
HS Diploma/GED 2+ yrs experience in a technical customer support, help desk, or electronics repair role Excellent time management skills Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work with diverse groups and maintain a consitent engergetic production level. Valid drivers license, reliable transportation and proof of Texas Auto insurance with designated liability limits. Ability to lift 50- 75lbs
Preferred:Associates Degree in Computer Networking, CIS, Electronics Repair or similar fieldExperienced in networking and/or repairing various copier, printer, and fax product lines. Working knowledge of Xerox and Sharp product lines.
