Our professional services team is actively recruiting to expand their engineering group. The Network Engineer we seek should be MCSE certified and extensive enterprise level experience designing, migrating to, administering, and upgrading Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory architectures and specifically be able to;
- Translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct site surveys and customer interviews to capture detailed technical requirements.
- Perform in-depth technical designs Active Directory/MS Exchange solutions to include detailed design reviews with customers.
- Finalize Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Inventory, pre-stage, configure, and install equipment.
- Conduct knowledge transfer w/customers.
- Complete training per development plan and maintain certifications in accordance with focus areas.
- Complete administrative tasks (expenses, time reporting) in timely fashion.
- Identify, rectify and communicate effectively any issues the customer may have regardless of technical nature as it relates to customer satisfaction.
This position is primarily dispatched throughout the Richmond area; however it may be dedicated to a customer’s site for extended periods of time.
EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Two/Four-year college degree or degree from Vocational/Technical Institute in related field of industry.
EXPERIENCE
Required: At least 3 years experience in a multi-site enterprise level environment designing, migrating to, administering, and upgrading Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory architectures to include complex group policy, disaster recover, DFS, and highly redundant Exchange solutions.
Preferred: Five or more years experience in a multi-site enterprise level environment designing, migrating to, administering, and upgrading Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory architectures to include complex group policy, disaster recover, DFS, and highly redundant Exchange solutions.
Anti-virus, SPAM, email archiving, back up, and virtualization experience strongly desired.
Basic understanding of blade server, SAN (iSCSI and/or fiber channel), and Altiris solutions a plus.
CERTIFICATIONS
Required: MCSE 2003 or more current
Preferred: Additional certifications through Symantec, Cisco, Microsoft a plus
