Contract Billing Administrator

Description:

SUMMARY: Compiles data, prepares invoices, and bills all aspects of equipment contracts except for non-rental equipment and supplies by performing the following duties. Provides customer service.

Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Processes and bills base & meter contracts.

• Processes and bills time & material contracts.

• Sets up and maintains detail of contracts.

• Sells contracts.

• Conducts audit and review of all paperwork included in a sale.

• Responds to customer phone calls questioning contract or invoices (internal and external customers).

• Enters rental orders for equipment into computer system.

• Reviews contract information not supported by computer system.

• Enters meter reads into computer system.

• Credits invoices generated in the Contract Billing Department.

• Audits accounting functions stored in Contract Billing.

• Reviews auditing reports.

• Prepares and prints invoices.

• Processes journal entries.

• Posts transactions.

• Processes lease terminations and account receivable holds.

• Processes Out of Territory vendor invoices.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Windows Operating System.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to use 10-Key.
